Coill City (May 2024 Update - DISCONTINUED)
RIP Coill City, hope to try again one day.
In short, due to Patreon policy I was unable to continue working on Coill City.
The issue was that core concept with the lust curse was too risky for them, and I got the impression that the succubi sex duels I had planned would've probably been a big nono too. I believe the way I went about these subjects should have kept it on the safe zone, but they were pretty clear about it.
Rewriting would change too much of the soul of the story, and support wasn't high enough to survive a move to Substar, so regrettably I had to stop working on it.
A year and a half of work down the drain, all thanks to payment processor companies pushing Patreon to avoid sensitive subjects.
What next?
I considered making a new, simpler game with reimagined versions of Coill City characters, but support is not high enough to dedicate the time that'd take (at a reasonable pace) so for the time being I'll focus my efforts into my NSFW patreon.

Although it wasn't too successful financially, Coill City generally received a lot of praise and love, even for the writing and characters, I really didn't expect that!
Thank you all for all your kind messages and support, I hope I'll one day have the time to give game-making another shot.

Patreon banned corrupt kingdom, they ended up moving over to subscribestar where some of their old patrons moved to as well. patreon is a absolutly horible platform for indi devs of an sort of lewd material
I understand, but i also wanna say if you need to move to a better site your fans will follow. I wish i could support the game from whats available its very entertaining and should definitely continue to be expanded on. If that means following it to a different place to support its continued development im sure many of us will gladly follow.

Well, the truth is it's a real shame but if it directly affects you it's better to leave it and for my part and I think that for a large part of the community you have my support I wish you luck.
You should go to SubscribeStar... That's where most 18+ game developers are going.

Go to subscribe star or something? There are more sites than patreon where you can get support. There is also ko-fi
Like Jesus man you don’t have to abandon the entire project just bcs some website (who to my knowledge has been a shitty place for some nsfw artists for a while) says to you that your game is a big No No. You know what you should say to that? “Fine your loss” and then go to a new web site and make money there.
